The YubiKey 5 NFC USB is made to protect your online accounts from phishing and account takeovers.

I was asked to remove and plug again the key, then touch the button. I restored the device to the default settings by selecting "Reset FIDO". I set a FIDO2 PIN that was later asked when I opened the Yubico Authenticator App I downloaded the YubiKey Manager software. Is this not compatible with what I am trying to do or is it a faulty product? When opening the Yubico Authenticator App on windows I will see the message "device inaccessible". The device doesn't complete the demos provided by Yubico. If I place my cursor on an input and then touch the golden button nothing happens. I don't see it on my taskbar as a connected USB device that I can safely disconnect (The 5C NFC model is visible there). I can see the device in Settings > Bluetooth and other devices.

On windows the device is being recognized as Yubikey FIDO. It was installed when I plugged it in for the first time and I get the standard sound from windows that a device has been connected. When I plug the device on my laptop the led flashes once. On the Yubico Authenticator App for iOS when I pull down and try the NFC I get the error message "The requested functionality is missing or disabled in the key configuration". It is expected to get a notification that redirects you to a Yubico page where you can copy your key. Before writing down the issues I have to say that I also own a 5C NFC and it worked as expected. I bought as a back up the model C NFC (labeled Y-400 on Amazon) and I am having issues with it.
